Today we started Story Time at the Ankeny Library. We will go every Wednesday for the next 6 weeks. It was very cute and Alana had a lot of fun. It is a class of all 2 & 3 year olds. There were songs, stories, and finger plays. I could tell many of the kids had already gone to story time in the past since they knew hand gestures to the songs, but Alana did great at trying to do them. They also learn a new sign (sign language) each week. Today they learned "more", but Alana has been using that sign since she was very little. I am looking forward to going back next Wednesday. The above picture was right before we left for the library. She looks kind of sad, but she is going through a funny little stage that when she looks at the camera, she give the cheesiest smile and closes her eyes and says "CHEESE!".
